Marshmallow fluff, the delicious American marshmallow spread

by Sweetie Tuth

Here's something I've been seeing in a store from time to time. "Artificial Flavour Strawberry MarshMallow Fluff":

Is this delicious? What does one do with it besides stuff your face with it?

Well, my curiosity finally got the best of me and I bought it.

So what is it like you might wonder. Well, the first taste I had was when I stuck a spoon in and just ate it clean like that.

It tasted pretty vulgar actually. My first thought was disappointment.

However, I tried it again over the next few days, for various applications, and I must say I actually grew to like it quite some.

Personally I took a spoonful and mixed it into a glass of milk, for a delicious strawberry milkshakey kind of thing. I liked that.

And I put it on some stuff, as this is also called a spread on the container. Yep, wasn't bad at all.

It seems you should just not eat it clean for the first time, because it doesn't taste like pink marshmallows. I think that's probably what threw me. I was expecting the taste of pink marshmallows and instead got this artificial taste of somethingorother.

But if you don't like it at first, you might later.

Now let's take a look at the information on the container:

"Artifical Flavour Strawberry Marshmallow Fluff.

The delicious American marshmallow spread.

Strawberry Flavour Marshmallow Spread.

Serving Hints:

Spread Strawberry Fluff directly on toast, scones or teacakes as part of a balanced breakfast. (??? balanced??)

Use directly from container on hot desserts.

For a delicious strawberry marshmallow topping, gradually add water in small amounts and blend to desired consistency.

To create a quick and easy hot strawberry topping, combine 4 heaping tbsp. Fluff to 3 tbsp. water, Microwave for 15 seconds on high and stir.

Suggestion for improving: Taste could be more like marshmallows. Texture is also a bit gross. Personally I also don't like food products with markings on it for special population groups. Makes me suspicious of both what's in it and where the money I pay for it goes.
