Has four settings: Bright light, dim light, flashing light, no light (off). These modes are accessed by pressing the red top switch until the desired mode is set.

I used this head lamp to go walking at night. Must say it does its job.

You probably won't get much more than 8 or 10 hours of proper light out of a set of batteries though, depending on what batteries you use.

Still, a very good product.

The best part however is the price. It's priced very reasonably, compared to other name brand head lamps. This one costs really a fraction of the price of those.
